Couple in auction house scam sentenced

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (Larry Davis) — James and Linda Easton owned Easton Auction House in Ross and took merchandise from customers, sold it and pocketed the profits. It was a story Local 12 News broke. A judge sentenced them Tuesday, Nov. 10, for bilking seniors out of tens of thousands of dollars. But they’re not going to jail. Most of the victims of the auction house scam were elderly and were out a lot of money. Instead of sending the scammers to prison the judge put them on probation and ordered them to pay up.
