Question Tags are widely use in our conversation. These are group of words that are added just after the completion of a sentence. The words that are used as Question Tags are helping words taken from the sentence if available as per tense of the sentence. Example:- Ravi is my friend, isn’t he? Sheetal was in school, wasn’t she? If sentence are positive then Question Tags are formed using not in short form such as: Is + not = isn’t Was + not = wasn’t Did + not = didn’t Shall + not = shan’t Should + Not = shouldn’t Will + not = won’t Are + not = aren’t – ain’t Am + not = aren’t – ain’t If sentences are in negative form then only helping verbs or auxiliaries are used. For Ex: Sarita cannot do this, Can She? When the sentences don’t have the helping verbs then
