Epic Games is SCARED! Fortnite News Will APEX LEGENDS TAKE OVER Fortnite Battle Royale? New Game!

Epic Games is SCARED! Fortnite News Will APEX LEGENDS TAKE OVER Fortnite Battle Royale? New Game! read the article featured in video here – https://fortnitenews.com/epic-games-are-fighting-back-against-apex-legends/ This feels like a significant development in the face of Fortnite’s continuing dominance of the battle royale landscape, and it feels like this game could be one of the first to actually siphon playtime away. First off, Apex Legends is far from the first battle royale title to come calling Fortnite’s crown in the year or so since its ascension to true craze status. It’s clearly a cut above, however: it’s a slick, smooth, AAA-quality title in a genre more or less birthed by the jankfest that is PUBG. That alone strikes you when you open up the game: Fortnite has a whole lot m

Fortnite’s Revenue Growth Is Slowing | CNBC

Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the world with 125 million players, and already, the free-to-play game topped $1 billion in revenue in May, according to gaming research firm SuperData. But the money-making giant has seen a drastic slowdown in its revenue growth to 2 percent from May to June. Despite the deceleration, the game’s loyal fan base is stronger than ever. There are 3.2 million broadcasters on streaming site Twitch. Since Epic Games launched the battle royale version of “Fortnite,” the game has taken over the site. In September 2017, “Fortnite” made up less than 1 percent of the content produced by streaming channels. Fast forward to August 2018, and that number has jumped to 49 percent. Fortnite Battle Royale Pulls In Female Gamers | CNBC

“Fortnite” is on pace to become a billion-dollar title in 2018, thanks in no small part to surging use by female gamers. When Epic Games first released “Fortnite” in 2017, it was only compatible with PCs, the Xbox and PlayStation. Its first version was a pay-to-play game mode known as “Save the World.” A few months later, Epic released the free-to-play “Battle Royale” version, which became a viral hit among casual and hardcore gamers. In April, Epic took a major step toward diversifying its user base when it released “Battle Royale” on iOS, luring people who don’t typically play games on consoles or PCs. According to Apptopia founder Jonathan Kay, the game’s mobile version is used largely by female gamers, who make up 46 percent of total gamers. Historically, women have dominated mobile

Fortnite is one of the biggest video games on the market. The live streams are pulling in numbers that are more than some cable television shows. Since it launched the Battle Royale game mode, Fortnite has come to dominate Twitch. There are 3.2 million broadcasters on streaming site Twitch, which is close to 60 percent higher than 2017. Since Epic Games launched the battle royale version of “Fortnite,” the game has taken over the site. How Fortnite Makes Money | CNBC

This is how the free video game ‘Fortnite’ might make more than $3 billion annually. It all comes down to a frenzied player base that is eager to spend real money on virtual currencies that don’t have any impact on actual gameplay. Chances are you’ve heard of a video game called “Fortnite.” It’s a massively popular game that is generating hundreds of millions of dollars each month in revenue. But unlike other popular online games like Activision Blizzard’s “Call of Duty” franchise, “Fortnite” is free to play. How is it that a free game is on pace to make $3.5 billion this year alone? It all comes down to the in-game purchases made by gamers from around the world. Players exchange real cash for virtual cash known as V-Bucks. This allows players to buy upgraded skins for their characters
