Small and Medium Enterprises can now access the Chinese market through an online portal known as Amanbo where they can list their products as well as buy goods directly from manufacturers in China. Food Friday: Promoting cultivation of traditional crops to tackle food security

Farmers know better than anyone else the challenges that are associated with unpredictable weather patterns as well as insufficient rainfall. To make farming more viable especially in the semi-arid regions of Baringo and Elgeyo-Marakwet Counties, researchers from Egerton University in collaboration with the County Government of Elgeyo-Marakwet are promoting the cultivation of traditional crops such as groundnuts as a way of tackling food insecurity and boosting farmers’ earnings. Airtel unable to meet financial obligations

There has been talk about how deeply in debt Nakumatt is, with the figure declared to government standing at 30 billion shillings. But, there is a company whose debt is one and a half times greater. Airtel Kenya. The telco closed 2016 being 45 billion shillings in debt, meaning that it is unable to meet any of its financial obligations that mature this year, even if it sold all its assets.
